Giro d'Italia live @TBA

The wait is over. Yes , you are right. Its time for the Giro d'italia - one of the 3 grand tours, the other 2 being Tour De France and Vuelta  a EspaƱa. Think the Tour de France is bigger? Hmmm...you gotta ask an Italian ( at the risk of being beaten up:)).

The next 21 days are going to be lots of fun and if you want to have some good time with fellow bikers, do drop by at TBA to watch the live action. The refrigerator has just been  Giro-ed.

We are yet to receive timing for each day, but tentatively the telecast will start around 5.00 pm IST, leaving out the Time Trial days.

Where :The Bike Affair store , Kondapur.

The Movie is about The Race Across America - 3000-mile bicycle race from the Pacific to the Atlantic. First held in 1982, RAAM is considered the most challenging sporting event in the world. Top riders finish in under 10 days, riding over 300 miles per day and sleeping only a few hours per night. Amid the sleepless grind, riders must endure the searing heat of the Mojave Desert, the agonizing climbs and descents of the Rockies, the driving winds of the Great Plains, and the twisting switchbacks of the Appalachians before the final sprint to the finish line in Atlantic City. With little prize money at stake, the fundamental goal of the race is simply to finish, a challenge half of all riders fail to meet . ( extract from http://bicycledreamsmovie.com/)

Riders are welcome to get friends and family members along. Do block your seats by sending a mail to krish@thebikeaffair.com with subject 'Bicycle Dreams'. Mention your name and contact number in the mail. Limited seats .
